Watermans Solicitors – "Know Your Rights To Grieve"

We created a suite of emotionally engaging and informative animations to complement an integrated marketing campaign.

Overview
We were brought in by technical marketing agency, Yard, to create a collection of super emotive and high-quality animations for a campaign with Watermans Solicitors that launched on National Grief Awareness Day 2020. We worked closely with the clients to workshop narratives and storyboards, through creation of assets and animation. We also handled the recording of impactful voiceover and soundtrack.
Method
Watermans wanted to explore the different types of emotions we face when losing a family member and small actions we can do to help people around us who may be dealing with grief. The final videos illustrate four unique scenarios of bereavement including the loss of a partner, a sibling, parent and a young adult and touch upon some acts of kindness to help someone going through bereavement.
To get to the final videos, we worked closely with the client to agree on narratives through scripting and storyboards and then on to developing emotive and diverse characters before animating. We also took care to record sincere voiceover and the videos are all subtly complimented with bespoke and impactful soundtrack created in-house to add more weight to the emotional beats.
Watch the Video
Created during the Covid-19 pandemic, we think these videos are a great example of the success and efficiency of an animation/motion graphics project! Although we love live-action, animation is not limited by the same constraints (such as casting, locations, equipment/crew etc.) and may also render a more emotional and effective video.
"Working with Easydays creative has been a seamless and fun experience. The communication has been excellent, and we've enjoyed bouncing ideas to create something unique. We felt that Wilf and Calum were like colleagues!"
