Visual Arts Scotland – Annual Exhibition 2022

Video content for Visual Arts Scotland's long-running Annual Exhibition, taking place online for the first time.

We were initially contacted by the team at Visual Arts Scotland to create video content for their long-running, Annual Exhibition. However, due to the growing cases of COVID at the end of 2021, a decision was made to host the entire exhibition online
As a result, we had to rethink what our video output would be; together with the VAS team, we decided on creating one main exhibition overview video, as well as several artist spotlight videos to give more insight into certain aspects of the exhibition.
Travelling to various locations and studios across Edinburgh and Glasgow, we captured high-quality interviews and b-roll footage which we edited into the final videos.
We were also supplied with great designs by Matthew Martin, featuring illustrations by Martha Cole. We animated these to include alongside the live-action video content in order to make a more cohesive series of films.
As the exhibition launch date was set in stone, this project is testament to the quality of content that can be created in a short space of time.
